Our facilities are perfect for hosting events of any size, including wedding receptions, theatrical performances, conferences, meetings and celebrations. The venue can be decorated to reflect your theme and with a preparation kitchen on hand, it is possible to cater for any dietary requirements you may have. The Auditorium

The Auditorium boasts a unique hydraulic floor, which, with the push of button, can transform from a fully tilted theatre style set-up to a flat floor which is perfect for product launches and themed events. 

With a capacity of 515 for theatre style productions it is ideal for amateur dramatic companies, dance groups and ballet schools as well as large scale conferences and formal presentations. 

This seating can be removed to make way for up to 25 banqueting tables to accommodate up to 250 guests for cabaret style events such as gala dinners, wedding receptions and charity fundraisers.   A mobile dance floor can be added and the room set up to a layout of your choice.

The Colne Room

The Colne Room has a capacity of up to 100 and can accommodate a variety of different set ups. This room provides the perfect space for smaller celebrations and has the versatility to be easily adapted for business meetings, presentations and training courses. 

Hire of this room includes use of a bar should your event require this facility. Additional break-out areas are available which provide an ideal setting for roll play scenarios and private meetings.

Other Facilities

Watersmeet has two reception areas; a downstairs foyer for you to meet and greet your guests and an upstairs foyer which is ideal for break-out areas, drinks receptions and informal gatherings.

In addition, Watersmeet has a preparation kitchen which allows external caterers the opportunity to create a flexible range of dining options for your event. 

There are a total of four dressing rooms; the two large dressing rooms are ideal for groups and the two smaller rooms can be used for VIPs and special guests.


Box Office - We can offer a full Box Office service, covering advance tickets and door sales. We provide customers the flexibility to book online, by telephone or in person during our normal opening hours with extended opening hours during your event.

Front of House & Stewards - Included in your price will be the services of our Front of House Manager for the duration of your event and two stewards to assist with ushering, meet & greet duties and bar service. Any extra staff is an additional charge. 

Technical Services - Watersmeet has all the facilities that you would expect at a theatre such as a full lighting rig, sound desk, head mics, follow spot and stage risers. We have a highly trained team who will assist you with your planning. If you require any technical advice prior to your event, please speak to our Technical Manager.

Marketing Services - Our Marketing Manager will be happy to meet with you to discuss the promotion of your event in more detail.
