The Role:
The Building & Technical Manager role is responsible for all building maintenance and technical theatre elements, including acting as Health & Safety co-ordinator. The role involves working closely with other members of the team including marketing, front of house, operations and box office, and managing the freelance casual theatre technicians.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong and operationally confident Building & Technical Manager to take ownership of technical delivery and building compliance at Watersmeet Theatre. The successful candidate will be a specialist in one of the main areas such as lighting, sound, cinema projection or stage management, with a broad understanding all all technical areas. You will be capable of leading crews, supervising contractors and safely delivering get-ins/outs and performances to a high professional standard. You will be commercially aware, able to manage budgets and ensure value for money, while also taking responsibility for maintenance, health and safety and overall building standards. Above all, we are seeking someone proactive, solutions focused and customer oriented who takes genuine pride in production quality and sees the venue's success as their responsibility.
