When love and music collide, harmony can heal or break everything apart.

Song Sung Blue is a tender, music-driven portrait of love, ambition, and the quiet resilience required to keep both alive.

Set in Milwaukee, the film follows Lightning and Thunder, a husband-and-wife Neil Diamond tribute act whose harmonies on stage mirror the deep bond they share off it. What begins as a passion project soon gathers momentum, carrying them into unexpected success as their performances resonate with audiences hungry for nostalgia, sincerity, and heart. Neil Diamond’s iconic songs become more than a soundtrack, they are the emotional language through which Lightning and Thunder express devotion, hope, and belief in a shared dream.

But as the spotlight grows brighter, so do the pressures beneath it. Song Sung Blue explores how creative partnerships can magnify both love and vulnerability, charting the couple’s journey through professional highs and deeply personal lows.

Devastating heartbreak threatens not only their marriage, but the music that once held them together.

Warm, intimate, and quietly powerful, the film is less about celebrity and more about commitment - to art, to each other, and to the courage it takes to keep showing up when the song changes. Song Sung Blue is a moving celebration of connection, reminding us that even in loss, music can still offer a way forward.
