Audition for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a spectacular youth musical adventure!

AUDITION 1 – Saturday 26 September 2026

2.00pm – 3.30pm (7 -12 years old) – You can arrive anytime during this time slot.

3.30pm – 5.00pm (13-18 years old) – You can arrive anytime during this time slot.

Location: Rickmansworth Park School JMI, Park Road, WD3 1HU.

AUDITION 2 – Tuesday 29 September 2026

5.00pm – 6.00pm (7 -12 years old) – You can arrive anytime during this time slot.

6.00pm – 7.00pm (13-18 years old) – You can arrive anytime during this time slot.

Location: Watersmeet, High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1EH

All performers must be 8 years old by the time of the show but can audition at 7 years old.

Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays at Rickmansworth Park School JMI and begin Tuesday 20 October 2026.

To be performed at Watersmeet 14-16 January 2027.

An amateur youth group production by arrangement with LW Entertainment Ltd, Joseph and Technicolour Dreamcoat Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi award-winning show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been performed hundreds of thousands of times including multiple runs in the West End and on Broadway, international tours in over 80 countries worldwide and has become one of the world’s most beloved family musicals.

Featuring much loved pop and musical theatre classics, including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go, Go, Go Joseph.

Audition Process

We hold open auditions so there is no need to book in. Simply turn up any time within the allocated time slot for your age group, sign in, and audition! You only need to attend one audition.

The person auditioning will go into the audition in groups of approximately 15-20 people of a similar age group where possible (8-12yrs or 13-18 yrs/13-21yrs depending on show title). Auditions usually last around 30 minutes and involve singing, dancing and acting.

All materials are provided and taught on the day, so there is no need to prepare anything beforehand. Parents are not allowed into the audition room but are asked to stay and supervise their children before and after the audition. A letter will be sent in the post letting you know the outcome of the audition within two weeks of the second audition date. All auditionees will receive a letter whether successful or not.
