Friendship (15)

(running time 100 mins)
Sometimes friendship changes everything… and nothing will ever be the same.
Friendship tells the story of how the most unexpected connections can change everything. When suburban dad Mark, played by Paul Rudd, stuck in the rhythm of school runs, weekend chores, and a job that no longer excites him, meets his new neighbour Danny, his world is suddenly turned upside down.
Danny is everything Mark isn’t, charming, spontaneous, and effortlessly confident. From the moment they meet, Mark finds himself drawn to Danny’s magnetic personality and free-spirited outlook on life. What begins as casual chats over the garden fence quickly develops into late-night conversations, wild adventures, and an intoxicating friendship that makes Mark feel more alive than he has in years.
But as the bond deepens, Mark begins to question what he truly wants: from his family, his future, and himself. Is Danny simply a friend who awakens something long-buried within him, or is their connection something more complicated and dangerous?
Friendship, starring Paul Rudd, is a sharp, funny, and tender exploration of desire, masculinity, and the blurry lines between platonic and romantic love. With humour, heart, and a dose of suburban drama, this film asks: how far would you go for the person who makes you feel seen?
